1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to https://isthatai.org and AI Image Detector. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and meet the minimum age required in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
3. The service
AI Image Detector lets signed-in users submit an image file or public HTTPS image URL and receive an automated assessment of whether the image may be AI-generated. Results are probabilistic signals, not proof of authenticity, authorship, identity or source. Features, provider availability, limits, speed and result quality may change. A check may be delayed, unavailable or unable to produce a clear result.
4. Your content
You retain any rights you have in images and URLs you submit. You grant us and our detection provider the limited permission necessary to receive, process and transmit that content to provide the check. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it and that you will not submit confidential information or another person's personal information without authorization.
You are responsible for reviewing the result and checking other evidence before relying on it, publishing it, or making a decision about an image.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to break the law, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, submit malware or abusive content, interfere with the service, evade authentication or credit limits, send automated requests that overload the service, or use a result as the sole basis for a legal, employment, financial, medical or similarly significant decision.
6. Payments and credits
You can try one image check without signing in. A new signed-in account receives 1 starter credit for one more check. Each completed image check uses 1 credit. If a check fails before a result is completed, the charged credit is automatically returned. Monthly plans renew through PayPal and provide a new monthly credit allowance; unused monthly credits reset at the next billing cycle. One-time credit packs are separate and do not expire unless the purchase page states otherwise. Prices, taxes, quantities and any refund or cancellation terms shown at checkout apply to the purchase.
7. Third-party services
The service relies on third-party authentication, hosting, database, payment and AI detection providers, including Google, PayPal and Hive. Their own terms and policies may apply. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
8. Disclaimers
The service and detection results are provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. AI detection can be inaccurate, incomplete, uncertain or unavailable. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. You should not treat a result as a guarantee that an image is real or AI-generated.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Image Detector will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill or business opportunity arising from use of the service.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, enforce these terms, comply with law, respond to payment disputes, or address harmful, fraudulent or abusive conduct. You may stop using the service at any time. Account, payment, credit and legal records may remain for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post updated terms and revise the effective date. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them. Questions can be sent to support@isthatai.org.
